Absences and Buddy System

Please advise the school on the morning of your child's absence. If we are not advised through one of the following ways we phone the home, workplace or emergency contacts which is a time consuming activity we prefer to avoid.
1. Contact the child's 'buddy' who will take a message to the class teacher - each child is paired with another in his or her class
2. Sending a message to school with another family member or friend
3. Telephoning, faxing or emailing the office (Ph 528 3938, Fax 528 3944 email office@stthomas.school.nz )

Alternatively, you could text name and room number to 027 758 0542 (mobile just used for absence messages)

This system is a safeguard for yor chidren and your co-operation would be appreciated.
