BENEFITS OF A MUSICAL EDUCATION 

International research has shown that music helps children develop intelligence, self-confidence, problem solving, perseverance and co-ordination. 
The Music Education Centre is very proud to offer St Thomas’ School students the opportunity to benefit from specialist musical instruction, at the school. 

Choice of Instruments
Lessons are currently available on:           
Piano
           
Keyboard
           
Guitar
Other instruments such as violin and flute may be available in 2010 dependent upon demand. 
Individual Instruction
Lessons are held on a one to one basis.  Students will usually have one 30 minute lesson each week. 
Lessons at School
Tuition is held at St Thomas’ school, weekday afternoons, after 3pm. Available days and time vary from instrument to instrument. 
Tuition fees
Parents receive a term invoice at the start of each school term.  Lesson are billed at $26 per lesson. Students pay a one-off enrolment fee of $50.00 when first starting lessons
How to Book
To start lessons during the year, phone the Music Education Centre on 0800 89 39 39 to book a lesson time that suits. 
For enrolments at the start of term one, an enrolment form will be distributed to all students and can be returned to the school office in mid February.
