All the students in syndicate three have had a great start to the term and there has been a lot of great learning taking place . Teachers realy enjoyed meeting parents at the end of last term as we believe that the learning triangle child, teacher and parent is such an important partnership.  I know all the teachers are looking forward to Term Two !!!!

Knowledge Net

You would of now recieved your letter home with your usernames and passwords. It would be great of you could jump onto Knowledge Net and give your child feedback about their piece of work as I know they would love to read your thoughts. Classes should have work completed on this by end of week two.

Class Web Pages

This year we are going to keep parents informed of class or school wide activities through our class web page.  We will not be sending our syndicate new letters. Access the page from the school website- Our work and resources- Room number. On the class page there could be links to reading, phonic, math and other activities to support the learning taking place in class.

Year One / Two Topic

In years 1 and 2 our topic for the term is Keeping Ourselves Safe

Year Three Topic

First part of the term the students will be covering Keeping Ourselves Safe. The keys areas of learning around this are: Saying No, Secrets and Tricks, Asking People they trust and Safety Rules. The students will have many activties related to these areas and I there will be home activties for the students to complete.

Then we move into How to become a Toy. This topic is based on the technology process where the students will be exploring the 4 key areas of Technology. They will be comparing old and new toys, looking at what materials toy are made out of, looking at target markets, design process, making 5 cube design, making toys and then reflectig anf evaluatiing. The purpose behind thid topic is for kids to realise there is a process a product goes through before they buy it.
