Room 19

Welcome to Room 19

A big welcome to Year 2 in Room 19, 2010.

We have a very busy term this term including the following topics.

Reading: Shared book, Guided reading and Library(Mondays 10am) 

Writing: Personal writing,Writing about 'Water safety' and 'Positively St Thomas's', Asstle writing task, Portfolio writing about our Dr Suess Assembly item.

Mathematics: All children now have a Mathletics code and password. This is a great way to learn numeracy skills both at home and at school.We are covering Statistics, graph making, tally charts and also Numeracy.

Physical Education: We have syndicate Fitness every morning 8.55-9.10am.

Swimming: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 1.30-2.10.

Syndicate Sport: Thursday 1.35-2.30pm.

Visual Art: We are drawing, painting, and crayoning Self Portraits this Term.

Integrated Unit: Our topics this term are "Swimtastic Summer" and "Positively St Thomas's".

covering water sense rules and creating a class treaty and a positive start and routines to the year.

ICT: Mathletics, WORD stories, Portfolio Title pages on Publisher. ICT Lab Tuesdays 9.45am

Assembly Item: 19th March. Celebrating Dr Seuss.12 o'clock in the school hall.
