Welcome to Term 2.

Our Integrated toipc is Caves and Castles. We are all different and no one way of being is better or worse than another way of being.

We will learn that  the way we live in New Zealand is different to tyhe way other live and housing choices are dependent on environment and resources.

This will be the theme of our assembly on June 3.

We continue daily reading as a class and in groups. We are also learning about our wonderful New Zealand author Margaret Mahy and enjoying her stories.

The Writing focus is Report Writing where we will learn to record factual information about housing in a concise, accurate and organised way. 

Maths this term is a unit on Geometry and discovering shapes. Our main focus is Numeracy  - addition and subtraction- and using Mathletics to practise basic facts at home and at school.

We are learning large ball skills in Physical Educationand appling them to games during our Syndicate Sport timeon Wednesday afternoons.

ICT skills will be updated  and improved during our weekly visit to the computer suite.
