Room 7

I hope everyone has recovered from our brilliant camp! It was an amazing experience for everyone who went and I’m sure it won’t be forgotten in a hurry! I heard that the guest judges for the quiz night really enjoyed their time with all the students and didn’t want to leave. In fact they were found wandering lost around Camp Carey.  After being sent off in their buses (with complaints about the lack of a limo) they finally made it to the airport to catch their flight back to LA.  Highlights of the camp were numerous but for the teachers the water hole, Burma trail, cabin inspections and the early morning workout were extra special. Now that we are back from camp we will be commencing our testing weeks. All the students will be assessed for reading, spelling, writing, maths and listening. However we will still be starting our new ‘I shouldn’t have survived’ topic which will run for rest of the term. The students will also be turned into reporters as they learn about newspapers and writing news reports…be prepared as you may be interviewed!Swimming finishes in Week 5 followed by our swimming sports in Week 6. Perfect timing as it has started to get a little chilly!Enjoy the rest of the term.Emma Johnson
