Room 3
Term 2 2012
Welcome back everyone to room 3 for term 2 in 2012. We had a very successful term one with the fabulous Camp Carey adventure to begin with and then our Words Work topic to complete the term. Topic books were completed to a very high standard and student learning was extremely well expressed in our two SOLO assessments.
Term 2 begins with the 'Keeping Ourselves Safe' topic and we have Constable Peter visiting us when the topic finishes in week 3. CSI follows in week 4 for the rest of the term and we are fortunate to have Constable Peter again with us -this time to show us how to take finger prints! We are very much hoping to again use Selwyn College's Science lab in the last week of term.
Term 2 is a busy term and we will be beginning early on with topic title pages and the accompanying term rubric. This rubric lets students know exactly when events are taking place. Our diaries, of course, are useful here too.

Term 2 Week 5 Homework
Pink Shirt day was most successful last week and I was extremely pleased with the way most students identified the key points for the article on 'Cyberbullying'.
This week you have one task.
- Please open the scanned document 'Film Review' and your writing task is clearly written here. Your homework requires you to view a DVD (or film from the television). Do not leave this task until Thursday night and please communicate with your parents and caregivers early in the week!
- Go over your maths knowledge sheet from Monday and prepare for your Friday test.
- Please continue to read each night and keep your reading log.
- Diaries back to school on Friday for our weekly review
