For the purpose of avoiding overcrowding at the school, the St Thomas’s School Board of Trustees will implement the following enrolment scheme effective from 1 January, 2001 until such time as the enrolment scheme is abandoned or amended. This scheme applies to children who are New Zealand citizens, or have New Zealand residency or who have a parent who is in New Zealand with a current work permit, and for whom a student permit has been obtained.
The Enrolment Scheme Home Zone
All students who live within the home zone shown on the attached map (a list of street names with numbers is listed under the School Zone section if required) shall be entitled to enrol at the school. The Board of Trustees will require proof of residential address.
Pre-enrolment of in-zone students
For administration purposes the Board of Trustees will request that a pre-enrolment form be completed. Proof of a permanent in-zone address will be required along with a statutory declaration to this effect.
Notification of Enrolment Form (In-Zone)
A copy of the Vision and Hearing permission form, can be collected from the school office.

Applications for Out of Zone Enrolments
Each year the board determine the number of places which are likely to be available in the different year levels for out-of-zone students. A ballot is held in October for students who wish to attend the following year. A second ballot may be held early in the following year.
