Our Māori Pasifika Support Group is available to support, celebrate and normalise cultures for all students at St Thomas’s School. The group aims to empower our tamariki to be all they can be and stand proud as Māori and Pasifika students at our school. Please email Amy Thurston athurston@stthomas.school.nz for details of our upcoming Māori Pasifika Support Group Whānau Hui. We are very excited about the changes we have rolling our for our Kapa Haka crews this year. That’s right, crews, plural!! We now have a dedicated Junior and Senior Crew. Our juniors are working towards in school performances with Amy Thurston. Our seniors have the privilege of working alongside Vikki Demant. We have some aspirational goals for these rōpū (groups) this year. Watch this space!!

Our Performance Crew work hard all year building their range of waiata. We offer open Kapa Haka lunch time sessions where everyone is welcome. Our dedicated performance crew commit to more rehearsals to be ready for any upcoming performance opportunities.
